EXCLUSIVE: Netflix seems to have another Korean television hit on its hands.

The action-packed drama series Teach You A Lesson has amassed 54.9M global views in the six weeks since its release, putting it on track to become the streamer’s second most-watched Korean show ever (behind only Squid Game).

While the series remains a bit under the radar in the U.S., Netflix’s latest What We Watched report on Thursday illustrates its traction internationally. The report, which captures viewing for the first half of 2026, puts Teach You A Lesson as the sixth most-watched series in that timeframe despite premiering on June 5. In June alone, the series raked in 48M views.

The series has been a staple on Netflix’s weekly non-English Top 10 since it debuted, ranking in 91 countries. It also appeared as the No. 4 streaming original for the week of June 8 to 14 on Nielsen’s rankings with 611M minutes viewed in its first full week post-launch.

Naturally, the title is quite popular in Korea, where it was the top TV series for three straight weeks and remains in the Top 5.

Set in a broken school system pushed to the brink, Teach You A Lesson follows the Teachers’ Rights Protection Bureau, a fictional government agency created to protect victims and restore order when students, teachers, and parents cross the line. The series is directed by Hong Jong-chan and written by Lee Nam-kyu.
