MARCOS JR. – The President announced that three and a half million beneficiaries of 4Ps and the “Walang Gutom Program” will receive additional assistance of up to P2,000.
Pres. Bongbong Marcos previously led the launching of the Walang Gutom Program as he repeatedly claimed that it is his dream that no more Filipino is struggling with hunger by the end of his term in 2026. He even joined the launching of the program in some areas in the country including Cebu.
Then, Marcos Jr. claimed that the feeding center can accommodate up to 200 people. Also, the beneficiaries are allowed to keep coming back until the food runs out. They are determined based on a registration.
There are hotel associations and restaurants who are working with the Philippine government in the Walang Gutom Program. The goal of the President came amid the soaring prices of goods and commodities in the country due to the oil price hike.
The series of oil price hikes which were triggered by the tension between Iran and the United States have caused a spike in the global pump prices. While the increase is slowly being pulled, the impact of the tension is still felt in many countries including the Philippines.
The closure of the Strait of Hormuz has disrupted the global oil flow. The tension also led to the destruction of many oil facilities. Thus, the Department of Energy has previously warned that the impact of the tension will not be eased very easily.
Recently, Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. announced a good news amid the soaring prices of food in the Philippines. Through a vlog, the Chief Executive announced that 3.5 million Filipinos who are beneficiaries of 4Ps and the Walang Gutom Program will receive an additional assistance of up to P2,000.
Marcos Jr. announced the Unified Package for Livelihood, Industry, Food and Transport or the UPLIFT program. According to the President, the programs aims to support and help 7.5 households or around 37.5 million Filipinos across the nation.
Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said the government’s pursuit to help the people is now strengthened with the UPLIFT. According to him, the program will be led by the Department of Social Welfare and Development together with other government agencies.
Marcos Jr. believes that with unity and the people helping one another, the country’s strength can be maintained and we can push for a more progressive future under the New Philippines.
“Titiyakin ng pamahalaan na maipagkaloob ang tulong na ito na mabilis, maayos, at mas maginhawa para sa mga Pilipino sa pamamagitan ng digital na pamamaraan,” he expressed in a vlog.
Recently, amid the many political issues and differences in the country, Davao Mayor Baste Duterte slammed the Marcos Jr. government anew.
