I have fond memories watching Avatar: The Last Airbender on Nickelodeon when I was a kid in the late 2000s. There was something so mesmerizing about watching Aang try to master earth, wind, fire and air with his friends. To this day, I’m still thinking about random episodes that made me LOL and throwing out iconic quotes (i.e. “That’s rough, buddy.”). Fortunately for us fans, Team Avatar is back!

While clips got fans excited for the film — particularly seeing grown-up versions of Aang, Katara, Sokka, Toph, and Zukko — many avoided them out of respect for the animators and creative team. Thankfully, we didn’t have to wait too long to see our childhood faves in action once again. If you are looking for legitimate ways to watch it now, we’ve got you covered. As a self-proclaimed Avatar enthusiast, I’ve done the research to find out where and how you can watch Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender. Spoiler alert: Paramount+ will be your new best friend. 

What is the Avatar ‘Aang’ Movie (2026) About?

Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender follows Avatar Aang as he learns about the ancient power that could keep his culture from exinction. The movie has a stacked cast featuring Eric Nam (Aang) and David Bautista (Tagah) followed by Jessica Matten as Katara, Román Zaragoza as Sokka, Steven Yeun as Zuko and Dionne Quan as Toph. 

If you’re new to the Avatar: The Last Airbender fandom, you can also watch all episodes of the series on Paramount+ in additon to seasons one to four of the sequel, The Legend of Korra. 

How To Watch The Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender on Paramount+

Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender will be available to stream exclusively on Paramount+ on Saturday, July 25. If you have Paramount+, then you’ll find the movie with a quick search and on the landing page when opening the website or app.

Is Avatar: The Last Airbender movie 2026 still coming to theaters?

Yes, BUT it’s super limited. In fact, Variety reported that the movie will only be shown in a select amount of theaters. As you may remember, the movie was originally supposed to be released in theaters in October. However, that was changed recently, and most of us will be able to catch it on Paramount+. If you are lucky enough to watch the film in theaters, I would definitely take the opportunity to do so!
