The Department of Child Welfare and Special Services has invited applications from eligible candidates for contractual appointment for the posts of supervisor and case worker to be posted in the Child Help Desks at the railway station and bus stand in Tiruppur district.

District Collector Manish Narnaware said four supervisors and three case workers would be appointed under the purview of District Child Protection Unit.

For supervisor post with consolidated pay of ₹21,000 per month, qualifications are graduate degree, preferably in Social Work, Computer Science, Information Technology, Community Sociology, or Social Sciences from a recognised university.

Computer proficiency is essential, and preference will be given to candidates who had earlier worked in emergency helplines. Candidates below 42 years can apply.

Three case workers will be appointed at the Railway Child Help Desk. The applicants are required to have cleared 12th Standard or equivalent from a recognised board, and have good communication skills. Experienced candidates who had worked in emergency helplines would be preferred, the Collector said in a press release. A case worker will receive consolidated salary of ₹18,000 per month.

Candidates are required to hand over filled-in application at the District Child Protection Office (Ph.0421-2971198) along with self-attested copies of educational and experience certificates either in person or by post within 15 days.
