Obviously inspired by:14 American Beers Everyone Should Try At Least Once | Community | BeerAdvocate
Simple rules:
1) One beer means ONE beer. No honorable mention. Do not pass GO. Do not collect $200.
2) It can be from anywhere, as long as it's beer.
3) Your candidate MUST include an explanation as to WHY people should try it.
My nominee?

Why?
- It's an American-made Belgian style beer that is better than most Belgian beers of the style.
- It's BBA, though I'd challenge anyone to taste it blindly and come up with that assessment because the bourbon and barrel character are so well incorporated they just blend seamlessly instead of hitting you over the head, really showing how good BBAing can be.
- It's a light-colored beer of high alcoholic strength, which would get those unfamiliar with these types of beers thinking differently about beer color and ABV.
- It's just absolutely wonderful
Tis the SeasonSince this thread was started today, and since it is fall/harvest season, the type of beer I think folks should try is a Fresh/Wet hop beer and specifically Sierra Nevada Northern Hemisphere Harvest Wet Hop IPA.
This beer is listed on the beer finder as being available at a half-dozen nearby beer retailers and later this week I will be purchasing a six-pack (or two?).
I discussed this beer last year in a NBW thread:
“Overall:
In one word: excellent! This beer is hop forward but it is pleasantly balanced with the flavors from the malts. The floral (rose-like) aspect is particularly appealing for my palate.”

!!!And the reason folks should try it is because @ColoradoBobs said so! It's a beautiful wheat beer that goes down too easily.
Brooklyn black chocolate stout. The one that paved my way to enjoying stouts from across the Atlantic ocean. Some Irish stouts did the trick until my palate found those kind. Hardly the best one America has to offer but fond memories of my first sip of it.(Stock photo)
It’s thick-bodied, delightful, reasonably priced even in Europe where some shops/web shops got it. I’m not going to jail, re this Monopoly analogy.
