Snack and bakery equipment supplier Flexco recently announced the addition of the Roller Conveyor Scraper Tool (RCST) to its line of belt protection solutions. According to the company, RCST is a purpose-built tool designed to quickly and efficiently remove adhesive and sticker buildup from roller conveyors, helping facilities prevent the slowdowns and package jams that such buildup can cause.  

"Sticker buildup is one of those maintenance headaches that sneaks up on operators," says Ryan Jackson, Flexco product manager. "The Roller Conveyor Scraper Tool cleans rollers faster than anything else on the market. Its curved blade profile matches the curve of a roller, so operators remove more buildup in a single pass than flat scrapers or traditional methods can manage in several. That speed matters because labels and adhesive residues build up over time, gumming up rollers until they slow down or stop turning altogether. When a roller stops, packages get stuck, and the ripple effect can bring an entire conveyor line to a halt. Traditional methods take hours and risk damaging the rollers, so a faster, gentler option helps maintenance teams stay ahead of the problem."
