After, made up of Justine Dorsey and Graham Epstein, is a Y2K-inspired alternative pop duo that took to the Airbnb stage on Sunday.

They released their first single, “Something Special,” in 2023. Since then, they’ve gained popularity for their 2025 single, “300 dreams,” which has over 9 million streams on Spotify. Having released two EPs and numerous singles, the band’s first album, “Fell Asleep in the Sun,” is set to release Sept. 18.

The duo started their set with “Deep Diving,” and the audience excitedly chanted along to the song’s “One, two, three, four” countdown.

“This is our first Lolla, thanks for showing up,” Epstein said after their opening number. “We’re called After.”

Dorsey said that they are “so excited” about their first record’s release and performed a single from it called “Take Me to Sunrise.”

According to Dorsey, the duo has been attending other days of the festival to watch fellow artists, like Oklou and Snow Strippers, perform. She went on to call the Airbnb stage “beautiful” and expressed appreciation for getting to play their music on a stage where many artists they admire have also performed.

“This is so fun, so unbelievably fun,” Dorsey said before introducing “300 dreams” near the end of their set. “Thank you so much for coming out and watching us; it means so much. We’re gonna play a song that’s dedicated to every single one of you, and everything you’ve ever wanted to be in your life.”

Throughout the set, Dorsey paired her smooth, sweet vocals with a gleeful dance across the stage. All of After’s music holds a nostalgic charm, and Dorsey’s upbeat energy allowed the music to feel even more dreamlike. Gentle breezes came and went, and the crowd swayed calmly.

“Thank you guys for being here; we love Lolla,” Dorsey said before playing their final song. “There’s a reason everyone says it’s the best festival in the world.”
