General Mills Foodservice has announced the latest additions to its K-12 lineup, expanding its portfolio with new products and revamped favorites. The lineup spans breakfast, lunch, and snack occasions with whole grain-rich bakery products, grab-and-go snacks, and scratch-made solutions.
With upcoming nutrition standards including weekly limits for added sugars and sodium during the 2027-2028 school year, these new items are one way General Mills Foodservice is helping schools stay ahead of the curve, it says.
"School needs continue to evolve, and at General Mills, we’re proud to lead with solutions that help our partners stay ready for what’s next,” says Pankaj Sharma, segment president of North America Foodservice at General Mills. "That’s why we keep innovating across our K-12 portfolio—introducing new products, improving familiar favorites and creating solutions that are easier to prepare and appealing to students. The result is regulation-ready options, convenient formats, and familiar brands kids love—all designed to help schools serve with confidence.”
These latest innovations reflect General Mills Foodservice’s continued leadership in K-12, it says. Today, more than 75% of the company’s K-12 portfolio is whole grain-rich, and General Mills Foodservice continues to reduce added sugars and sodium. In March, the company announced that its entire portfolio of K-12 foods was made without certified colors, successfully achieving this milestone ahead of its summer 2026 commitment.
