Tomorrow is the annual Summer Solstice: Wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Summer_solstice
The summer solstice occurs when one of Earth’s poles has its maximum tilt toward the Sun. The summer solstice is the day with the longest period of daylight and shortest night of the year in that hemisphere.
I did some look-upping, and found that there is more daylight at locations towards the North.
Samples:====================
New Orleans latitude 29.95 rise/set 5:58/8:04 14 hours 6 minutes
Springfield MO latitude 37.21 rise/set 5:52/8:34 14 hours, 42 minutes
Minneapolis latitude 44.97 rise/set 5:26/9:03 15 hours, 37 minutes
Nome latitude 64.20 rise/set 4:18/1:47 (22nd) 21 hours, 29 minutes
===================================
On the far end of the spectrum: Near the North Pole there is continuous daylight. For example:
Inuvik is the only town in the Inuvik Region, in Canada’s Northwest Territories. (wiki: Inuvik ) has 50 days of continuous daylight during the summer. The weekend closest to the summer solstice (21 June) each year features the Midnight Sun Fun Run, a 5K, 10K and half marathon that starts at midnight under the 24-hours of sunlight experienced for over 50 days each summer in Inuvik. Runners from around the world make their way north to participate in this unique event under the midnight sun.
