I bought it. Most of it I have used. Some of which was wishful thinking, too. This was leftover Bernat Blanket yarn in various styles I have collected over the years.
Most of my balls were fist-sized, with a few exceptions of full balls I haven't ever gotten around to.

Some of the colours you can see were repeated a few times, as the balls were large enough, but I didn't want huge spans of colouring and broke it up.
In This ProjectAssorted Bernat Blanket yarns. In my sample are Bernat Baby Blanket, Bernat Blanket, Bernat Blanket Swivel and Bernat Blanket Frosting.
Hook: Use 8 mm / L/11 Crochet Hook
Gauge: 10 sc and 8 rows = 4” [10 cm]
Size Shown: 56" x 62" long
Abbreviations
Beg = Beginning
Ch = Chain
Rep = Repeat
Sc = Single Crochet
Sl st = Slip Stitch
You can try the Crochet Tail Ends Scrap Granny Blanket using leftover yarn, too.

Instructions
TIP: You can also use full balls and just randomly end the yarn to form a blanket like this.
With any colour, ch 116.
1st row: 1 sc 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch across. Turn. 115 sc.
2nd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc across. Turn. 115 sc.
Repeat the 2nd row as many times as you prefer. Change the colours as you see fit or when balls run out. The sample has 122 rows.
For larger or full balls, I crocheted just a few rows, up to 6 or 7 rows maximum, before breaking it and changing to something else so the colours would be more striped instead of big blocks of colour. You can decide what works for you.
Video help is available below to change out colours when needed. Be sure to weave in the ends securely.
Border: With any colour. Attach to a corner stitch. Ch 1. 2 sc in corner sp. 1 sc evenly around, in orders, place 3 sc. At the end of the round, place 1 sc in the same stitch as the beginning and join with a sl st to beg sc. Fasten off.

How to Change Colours
This first video is changing the colours at the end of a row. Watch how the tails are woven in with a tapestry needle. You will want to do that each time.
Use this technique for changing colours or yarn in mid-row. Be sure to weave in the ends with a tapestry needle.
