Nine O’Clock received from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the newspaper’s editorial office, information regarding the organization of the 2026 Annual Meeting of Romanian Diplomacy (#RADR2026), which will take place in Bucharest between August 31 and September 1.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will organize the Annual Meeting of Romanian Diplomacy (#RADR2026) on August 31 – September 1, 2026, one of the most important events dedicated to Romanian diplomacy. The meeting will take place at the Bucharest National Opera and will be chaired by Minister of Foreign Affairs Oana Țoiu.

Held traditionally around Romanian Diplomacy Day, celebrated annually on September 1, the event will bring together the heads of Romania’s diplomatic missions and consular offices abroad, representatives of the foreign diplomatic corps accredited in Bucharest, members of the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as senior Romanian officials.

The special guest of this year’s meeting is the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani.

The participation of the Bahraini official highlights the international dimension of the meeting and Romania’s interest in strengthening relations with partners in the Gulf region.

This year’s edition of the Annual Meeting of Romanian Diplomacy is dedicated to a more efficient, pragmatic and better-connected diplomacy focused on Romania’s interests.

Discussions will focus on how diplomatic and consular action can contribute more effectively to strengthening Romania’s international profile and promoting the country’s strategic interests.

Key priorities include advancing Romania’s security and economic interests, supporting Romanian citizens at home and abroad, and strengthening Romania’s role within the European Union and in the transatlantic relationship.

The meeting will also address the importance of developing Romania’s dialogue with global partners and adapting diplomatic action to an international environment that is undergoing continuous change.

Through the meeting, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs aims to strengthen coordination between the ministry’s central structure and Romania’s diplomatic and consular missions abroad, while establishing priorities and directions for the country’s foreign policy for the period ahead.

The Annual Meeting of Romanian Diplomacy is held every year around September 1, Romanian Diplomacy Day, and represents an important opportunity to assess developments and establish the priorities of Romanian diplomacy.
