The Chattanooga Margarita Festival returns to First Horizon Pavilion on Saturday, Aug. 1, inviting guests to sample handcrafted mini margaritas from Chattanooga's favorite establishments as they compete for the coveted title of Best Margarita in Chattanooga.
"Chattanooga's favorite margarita competition is returning for another spirited showdown, bringing together some of the city's top bars and restaurants for an evening that celebrates local hospitality, friendly competition and community impact," organizers said.
"The annual event has become one of the city's signature summer traditions—and with tickets selling out every year, we encourage attendees to secure their spot early."
While guests may come for the margaritas, the festival's mission extends well beyond the glass.
"The Chattanooga Margarita Festival was created to showcase the creativity, talent and hospitality of Chattanooga's local bars and restaurants," officials said. "Each participating establishment brings its own signature recipe and style to the competition, giving attendees an opportunity to discover new favorites while celebrating Chattanooga's vibrant dining and nightlife scene. This year's competition features more than 25 local bars and restaurants."
"The Chattanooga Margarita Festival is one of the best ways to experience the local restaurant
community all in one place," said Lynsie Shackelford of Margarita Festival. "These bartenders and
restaurants put so much creativity into their recipes, and the event gives them the opportunity to
showcase their talent in a fun, friendly competition.”
Festival guests will receive margarita samples from participating competitors before casting their votes to help determine the People's Choice winner. Along with the tasting competition, attendees can enjoy live entertainment, local food vendors, photo ops and more.
"The event also serves a greater purpose by benefiting Chattanooga Market, the region's largest
producer-only marketplace and a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting local farmers, artisans, food producers and small businesses," officials said.
General Admission includes 10 margarita tastings from competing restaurants and bars. VIP ticket
holders receive early admission, additional tastings and exclusive festival perks.
Because attendance is limited and the Chattanooga Margarita Festival has sold out every year,
organizers recommend purchasing tickets well in advance. Guests must be 21 or older to attend. Tickets and additional event information are available at ChattanoogaMargaritaFest.com.
