A new culinary tradition is coming to Chattanooga.
The first-ever Chattanooga World Food Truck Festival will debut on Saturday, July 11 from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. at Tennessee Riverpark, 4301 Amnicola Hwy., as a free, family-friendly celebration of food, culture, music and community connection - designed to become an annual signature event for the region.
Created by award-winning chefs Sara Turney and Desiree Hulsey, the festival was intentionally built to create an affordable and accessible platform for food trucks, cottage bakers, specialty food makers, beverage vendors and culinary entrepreneurs to expand their reach, grow their customer base and connect directly with thousands of food-loving attendees.
“This event was created by chefs, for chefs,” said event Co-Creator Ms.
Turney. “We understand firsthand how challenging it can be for culinary businesses to find meaningful, affordable opportunities to grow. Chattanooga deserves an event that not only celebrates incredible food, but actively creates opportunity for the people behind it.”
"Rooted in the belief that food builds community, the Chattanooga World Food Truck Festival brings together local business growth, nonprofit-minded collaboration and immersive entertainment designed to create something memorable for every generation," officials said. "The event is proudly supported by Chattanooga’s own Cameron Parker, local food influencer and founder of the Dadbod Go App, whose ongoing work spotlighting independent restaurants and food businesses has made him a trusted voice in the city’s culinary scene.
"The festival will also feature the Feed The Streets Stage, proudly sponsored by Rave Day and Hip Hop Feeds The Streets, bringing a high-energy, multi-genre lineup of local performers to the event while creating a platform that celebrates Chattanooga talent, culture and community impact."
Festival attendees can expect a full day of experiences, including:
A Culinary Destination -
Guests will enjoy a diverse collection of food trucks, specialty food makers, cottage bakers, beverage vendors and culinary concepts representing the creativity and flavor of the region and beyond.
Live Music + Community Culture -
The Feed The Streets Stage, powered by Rave Day and Hip Hop Feeds The Streets, will feature an exciting multi-genre lineup of local artists, creating an energetic soundtrack for the day while spotlighting community-centered entertainment partnerships.
Family-Friendly Experiences -
The festival is designed as a true all-ages destination featuring:
- Kids zone obstacle courses;
- Bounce houses and inflatables;
- Midway-style games;
- Interactive family activities;
- A collaborative community art installation where attendees can paint messages and contribute to a commemorative piece marking the inaugural Chattanooga World Food Truck Festival.
For The Adventurous -
Guests can channel their inner warrior with TIL Ragnarok, featuring interactive axe throwing experiences, Viking battle arena activities and hands-on attractions for older kids and adults.
Movie Night Finale -
As the day winds down, families are invited to gather for an outdoor screening of Ratatouille, bringing the festival to a close with a film that perfectly reflects the heart of the event: creativity, passion and the idea that great food belongs to everyone.
Admission is free, with complimentary Eventbrite ticket registration encouraged in advance.
Pre-registration allows participating food vendors to better forecast attendance and inventory needs - helping ensure attendees can enjoy their favorite festival eats throughout the day.
"As Chattanooga continues to grow its identity as a destination for food, entertainment and community-driven events, the Chattanooga World Food Truck Festival aims to become a meaningful annual addition to that story," officials said.
