Carlsbad's Flower Fields will stay open a few more days, with discounted tickets

Дата публикации: 11-05-2026 10:42:12

MOTHER’S DAY… is a momentous occasion in so many heartfelt, super-moving ways, and talking about it with all the hyperbole and fervor it deserves is a must. And if you happen to be a devotee of bright flowers, garden-inspired pastimes, and airy adventures? You also know that the May holiday signifies the seasonal wrap-up at The Flower Fields, that colorful Carlsbad icon. But some years, when things are on the bloomful side, the team behind the attraction will choose to keep going for a few extra days, all to extend the effervescent emotions The Flower Fields can inspire. True, the peak bloom was in late March and early April, but there are still flowers to admire and several offerings beyond beholding the Giant Tecolote Ranunculus, the blossom that is synonymous with the destination. Whenever you do choose to go, go soon: The new 2026 end date is May 17.
ADVANCE TICKETS… are still essential, so book yours online before you roll for Carlsbad. “Mother Nature is giving us through May 17 to enjoy the bloom,” is the cheerful word from the floral spot, but there is more cheer to share: Tickets are now $10 off. There are still well over a dozen acres of blooming ranunculus, along with opportunities to join a tractor wagon ride, wander the Butterfly Encounter, stroll the Mediterranean Garden, bask in the “Glass in Flight” sculptures, and wander among orchids in a greenhouse. The map is on the site, if you’ve never called upon these famous fields, and checking it out before you make the journey is a good way to plan your day. If you can’t make it during the week-long extension, don’t be too mopey: The Flower Fields will return, as they always do, on the first of March. So the next opening date? It’s less than 10 months away.

Don't dally, petal people: The popular attraction has added one more week to its 2026 schedule.
