LIBATIONS WITH LAVENDER FLAIR, the lattes and blendeds and smoothies that include a bit of purple-y panache? You can probably find these fanciful sips down at your local coffeehouse. But coming across other foodstuffs that boast some herb-y goodness, including those snacks and savories that aren’t often associated with the fragrant spring-into-summer flower? That’s harder to do, unless you make your way to 123 Farm for its multi-week celebration. The rustic destination, which is found at Highland Springs Ranch & Inn, is synonymous with the showy specimen, and starting on June 5 the uplifting event will be back: It’s the Lavender Festival, a yearly offering that pays tasty tribute to the farm’s lavender fields as well as the spirit of summer. Note that the start time for these happenings is 5 p.m. weekdays and noon on weekends, and the peak bloom may begin around late June, give or take.
THE FESTIVAL FOODS… of 123 Farm have a timely way of reflecting the theme of whatever the current focus happens to be — sourdough takes the spotlight when the bready bash returns to the farm each spring — so you can expect an assortment of lavender-inspired bites and beverages on the June-into-July roster. The 2026 line-up has a Lavender Smash Burger, complete with a lavender-seasoned organic beef patty and lavender aioli, and Lavender Carne Asada Fries. An Organic Lavender Peach Cobbler is also on the menu, and an Organic Lavender Brownie, too, as well as Lavender Lemonade. A petting zoo, lavender crafts, a history tour, and other diversions are on the schedule on select dates, with several offerings popping up on weekend days. If you can’t make this lavender-lush lark but will have more time later in the summer, be cheered: Lavender Nights, a twinkly to-do with early-fall flair, returns to 123 for a two-month engagement starting in late August.
