University took the 12th place in the all-Russian ranking

Ural Federal University has once again entered the ranking of Russian universities with the highest salaries for economics and finance graduates, placing 12th in the list.

The SuperJob Research Center has published its annual ranking of higher education institutions across the country. The ranking reflect the salary expectations of young economists and financiers who graduated between 2020 and 2025. Only resumes for line and management positions in fields such as corporate finance, banking, auditing, consulting, economic planning, investment analysis, and accounting etc., were considered only if they were posted no earlier than 365 days prior to the release date of the study.

According to the ranking, the average monthly salary of of UrFU economics graduates has increased by 10,000 rubles compared to the data of 2025 and now stands at 120,000 rubles. Additionally, 79% of graduates remain working in Ekaterinburg after completing their studies.

At UrFU, future financiers are trained at the Graduate School of Economics and Management (GSEM). GSEM graduates successfully secure positions not only in leading financial organizations across the country but also in the financial departments of corporations in other economic sectors.

“More than 80% of students find employment during their studies, starting from their second or third year of bachelor’s studies. This is due to our system of internships and traineeships with the largest employers in the financial industry. Through project-based learning, case competitions, and internships, our students gain hands‑on experience at leading banks, investment firms, and consulting companies. The balance between theory and practice in our educational process ensures that our graduates are highly sought after by employers,” said Dmitry Tolmachev, Head of GSEM at UrFU.

Every year, GSEM graduates hundreds of specialists for the financial sector in the country and region. This year alone, 757 students received diplomas in economics and management, with one-third receiving honors, confirming the high level of training at the university.
