On June 27, the graduation ceremony at UrFU took place on the square in front of the main academic building of the university. The ceremony brought together bachelor's, master's, and graduate students – in total, about 9,000 of yesterday's students received their diplomas at the same time.

"Dear graduates, the world is moving very fast, technology and events are penetrating very intensively, but a very important and stable thing that characterizes you still remains – strength, reliability, the ability to become better after the most serious trials. I sincerely want to congratulate you on graduating from Ural Federal University. The university, the Urals and our country really need you," said Ilya Obabkov, Rector of UrFU.

During the celebration, the graduates enjoyed a live performance by a cover band and choir, the presentation of gifts and touching congratulations from their parents. A hundred of the best graduates received their diplomas from the rector right on the stage. They were awarded for outstanding achievements in their studies, research and social life.

Kontur, TMK, RMK, RWB, Sinara Bank, Alfa Bank, VTB, Samokat, Unirus, and Praktika were the partners of the event.

The evening ended with a "FACES" party.

The graduation ceremony of Ural Federal University is the first celebration in Russia with the simultaneous awarding of diplomas to thousands of graduates of the university. The large-scale event took place for the 15th time.
