Heritage House will present Star-Spangled Cinema for the month of July. 

"In celebration of our country’s 250th birthday, Don Eaves Heritage House is proud to present a patriotic panoply of films celebrating the good ol’ U.S. of A.," officials said.

Presentations include:

- July 2:  The nation's founding fathers harmonize their way through the founding of America at Independence Hall in Philadelphia in this musical adapted from the popular Broadway show.

- July 9: In this dramatized account of his early law career in Illinois, Honest Abe is born into a modest log cabin, where he is encouraged by his first love to pursue law.

Following the tragic death of his wife, the railsplitter establishes a law practice in Springfield, where his law skills are put to the test when he takes on the difficult task of defending two brothers who have been accused of murder.

- July 16: A prize-winning Tennessee marksman, a recent convert to Christianity, finds himself torn between his non-violent beliefs & his desire to serve his country when recruited to fight in World War I.

- Juy 23: In 1944, the U.S. Army & Allied forces execute the largest seaborne invasion in history – landing in Normandy, France. With much effort, and loss of life, they get off the beach, traveling deep into French territory. The German military, due to arrogance, ignorance and a dozing fuhrer, subsequently delay their response to the Allied landing, with crippling results for the Germans.

- July 30: Developed for the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing, the events surrounding the actual space mission are presented using never-before-seen footage and audio – taking viewers straight into the heart of NASA's most celebrated mission as three astronauts embark on a historic trip to the moon.

Heritage House doors open Thursdays at 6 p.m.; trailers at 6:45 p.m.; feature at 7 p.m. There will be a brief audience Q&A after each film. Free admission & light refreshments are included.
