Wizards of the Coast has big plans to celebrate Dungeons & Dragons at Gen Con 2026. The publisher behind one of the most iconic fantasy TTRPGs in the world is rolling with advantage with this year's D&D Tower, a multi-day event packed with live actual plays, panels, and live musical performances.

This year's D&D Tower event will be held at the Indiana Repertory Theater and Indiana Rooftop Ballroom. The event will take place between July 30, 2026 and August 2, 2026. The event is packed with multiple guests, TTRPG personalities, and creative forces talking about the hobby, sharing tips on creating unforgettable experiences, and interactive short-play experiences.

Those events include the D&D Visions Keynote. This event will be hosted by Theo Solomon, Baldur's Gate 3's Wyll Ravengard, and speakers include Wizards of the Coast's Head of D&D Franchise Dan Ayoub. The Visions Keynote will include first looks at upcoming D&D products and special guest appearances, and other surprises .

For fans of actual plays, D&D Tower will host a live episode of Dungeon Masters featuring Jasmine Bhullar and the whole team. Pet lovers can also enjoy a live play of Puppy Roll III, run by Puppy Roll creator and Doggie Master Anjali Bhimani with players including nerd icon Feiicia Day.

The actual plays do not stop at these either. Luke Gygax will run The Curse of Krystophus set in the Free Cities of Greyhawk. Matthew Lilard will bring the audience into a special edition of Faster Purple Worm: Defeat The Audience. The cast of Theatre of the Unaligned will tell a tale in the world of Grim Hollow. There will even be a Vampire: The Masquerade event, most likely using the D&D 5.5e hack, Bound by Blood.

Fans of interactive theater will also be served at this year's D&D Tower event with new performances of The Twenty-Sided Tavern. These performances will be running all weekend, featuring the talented William Champion, Jasmin Malave, Conner Marx, Madelyn Murphy, Cassidy Sledge, and Alex Stompoly.

The game of Dungeons & Dragons is nothing without creative voices and minds breathing life into the numbers and dice rolls, and this year's D&D Tower will showcase some of the most iconic voices in the space as they share their advice in knowledge in a series of D&D Talks panels.

Critical Role's Matt Mercer and Jasmine Bhullar hosting a panel on DMing. Luke Gygax and Justice Arman giving advice on making a world your own. Devora Wilde and Neil Newbon talking about Joseph Campbell's Hero's Journey. Storytelling techniques by DNDTuber Ginny Di. Ravenloft and Dragonlance creators Tracy and Laura Hickman hosting a panel on worldbuilding. The list goes on.

With so much happening at D&D Tower this year, you may need access to your own Haste spells to catch everything, and a real Bag of Holding to contain all of your merch. Or, more realisically, you have your own real-life adventuring party to share the load.
