Wizards of the Coast has revealed some details of what to expect at MagicCon 2027. Next year's slate of conventions all around the community and card game phenomenon that is Magic: The Gathering will introduce new sets, a new Secret Lair bundle, and a new Mystery Booster.

Recently, Wizards of the Coast hosted MagicCon: Amsterdam, bringing fans from across Europe to play and see what is next for the card game. At one of MagicCon: Amsterdam's panels, Wizards of the Coast unveiled the first details of what people could expect at MagicCon 2027.

This included a new slate of Magic sets. The first, Reality Fracture, is the conclusion of a Magic multiverse meta storyline that began with the Wilds of Eldraine set. After the events of Tarkir: Dragonstorm, the planeswalker Jace Beleren attempts to reshape the multiverse in his ideal image. Alongside this set will be a new Secret Lair bundle, which will include 2 Collector Boosters, 6 Play Boosters, a set of foil lands, and 10 foil promo cards.

Reality Fracture will release worldwide on October 2.

Three other sets were announced at the MagicCon: Amsterdam panel. Nauctis: The Sunken Realm is Magic's take on an undersea realm, complete with merfolk, seals, homands, and deep sea deities. Kamigawa: Titanbreach returns to the futuristic neon land of Towashi as it fends off an onslaught of beasts from the land of Ikoria. Lastly, Magic will return to its roots with a new Zhalfir set, bringing back some afrofantasy vibes to the game.

Nauctis: The Sunken Realm will release on February 5, 2027. Kamigawa: Titanbreach will release on June 4, 2027. Zhalfir will release October 1, 2027.

The panel's timeline also confirms that three more unannounced Universes Beyond sets are slated for release in 2027. If you enjoyed the crossover sets with Marvel, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Avatar: The Last Airbender, more are coming.

Lastly, Wizards of the Coast announced Mystery Booster: Commander Edition. As the name implies, these boosters are intended for Commander draft play. Interested in how that works? The booster will be previewed at this year's Gen Con.

More details on all of these announced products will come at MagicCon 2027, which will expand to four venues. MagicCon: Detroit will take place between February 26-28. MagicCon: Tokyo will take place between May 14-16. MagicCon: Las Vegas will take place between August 27-29. Lastly, MagicCon: Amsterdam will take place between December 3-5.
