In a crisis, Rep. Michele Reneau defended the rights of parents and children. 

When I contacted Rep. Michele Reneau about being denied the ability to access my 13-year-old child’s medical information at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, she acted. She wrote the hospital about following the new bill, HB 853, which strengthens parents’ access to their minor children’s medical records, and Vanderbilt quickly addressed the concern.

As a mother and a nurse, I know parents must have the information needed to advocate and protect their children in order to make informed medical decisions.

Rep. Reneau understands that responsibility because she is a mother too. She listened, courageously stepped in, and helped make sure the law was understood and followed. She represented the people.

We need leaders who will defend parental rights and follow through when families need help. Please join me in voting for Michele Reneau either during early voting, which started July 17 and goes through Aug. 1, or on Aug. 6, and sending her back to Nashville.
