The arrival of the summer holidays means trips abroad, days out to the seaside and plenty of activities to keep the kids busy. And while the weather has been hotter for the last few weeks, it looks like things will be cooling down.
In fact, the picture is a little mixed over the next few weeks, with the Met Office long-range forecast, which extends from July 25 until August 4, suggesting 'changeable' weather is on its way, with a mixture of rain and sunshine.
But the warm and dry conditions are expected to return, which will be music to the ears of those taking a summer break or staying in Greater Manchester for the school holidays.

For those looking for a bit of inspiration for the weeks ahead, and looking to combine a stroll and relaxing drink in a beer garden, there's a south Manchester pub that ticks both boxes.
Found just off the popular Beech Road in Chorlton, the Bowling Green is just metres away from Chorlton Ees Nature Reserve - a a 58 hectare site with a wonderful mix of woodland and meadows.
Formerly a sewage works, it has been transformed into a peaceful Site of Biological Importance. Free to visit and open daily from dawn to dusk, it sits just over from the pub, making it a great pitstop pre or post walk.
The large pub site encompasses over 50 indoor and outdoor tables, spread across the large interior and two outdoor areas. The first outdoor space, to the left of the entrance, features benches - some of which are under cover - and is just beyond Chorlton Green.
Head out back and there's more seating available plus chairs and seats that overlook the play area, which is suitable for young children, and the bowling green - one of the oldest crown bowling greens in Britain.
Accessible for families there's a number of toilets and baby change facilities too. Kids are also catered for as part of the wider pub food menu. Serving hearty homemade food, its current menu spans a variety of summer dishes.
Served daily from 12pm until 8pm, there's a range of small plates including Spicy Korean Pulled Pork Sliders, Garlic Butter Prawns with ciabatta, Caprese Salad, and Salt & Chilli Chicken Bites.
There's also a range of sandwiches, served on toasted ciabatta bread, with a handful of fries and salad garnish from £11 and spanning Pastrami Reuben, Cajun Chicken Strips, Mozzarella & Tomato, and Beetroot Falafel.
Those wanted something substantial can choose from a variety of burgers, as well as their wider mains selection, while if you just fancy some chips, sweet potato fries or house salad to go with your drink, they have all of those too. The Kids Menu is priced at £8 and every meal comes with a free drink.
Kids can choose from chicken nuggets, fish fingers, pork sausages, and vegan sausages, and all come with a choice of fries of thick cut chips and a choice of baked beans or garden peas. There's a spaghetti bolognaise with garlic bread for £9 too, while ice cream is £3.
Drinks wise, there's good quality cask ales according to the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA). Three regular beers are complemented by three guest beer, and there is a good selection of keg and bottled beers.
To get into the summer mood, there's also a range of spritzes. Priced at £10, these include Aperol, Higo, Paloma and Limoncello. The bar menu also features a range of wines, fizz, spirts, cocktails and soft drinks.
If you're looking for somewhere to stay, the pub has also added on six double bedrooms. Their en-suite rooms have a separate entrance to the bar and rooms can be configured as either a twin or large double bedroom. The pub also hosts a number of events and up to 65 customers can be accommodated in the green room.
