Now that the summer holidays are underway parents are tasked with the challenge of keeping kids entertained for the next six weeks.

While youngsters will be thrilled at the thought of a month and a half off school, it can be challenging for parents to keep them fed and entertained over the long summer break. At a time when eating out is expensive, it can be tricky to stick to a budget as well.

Fortunately many supermarkets, cafes and restaurants are offering deals over the summer to help families save money when eating out. These include offers where kids can eat free or for as little as £1 when accompanied by a paying adult.

We’ve rounded up 20 of these deals across Greater Manchester spanning a range of cuisines and restaurants, from popular supermarket cafes and Italian chains and to Japanese-style restaurants and gastropubs.

Many of the offers require the purchase of an adult meal or require a minimum spend, although some are offering kids’ meals from as little as 88p while there are venues where no adult meal purchase is necessary. Of course, each of the venues can withdraw or alter their offering at short notice, so it is always worth checking with your server, in-store or online before ordering.
