Derby County are in the market for further signings as they look to reshape their squad ahead of the big kick-off in a fortnight
John Eustace has confirmed he wants to bring David Ozoh back to Derby County and believes he will be a "great addition" for their quest for success in the Championship next season.
Ozoh was on the bench for Crystal Palace yesterday for their final Como Cup fixture but came on at half-time of the 3-1 win over Al-Ula.
The midfielder has one year left on his contract at Palace amid speculation over his future and DerbyshireLive understands that the Premier League club would be keen for a permanent deal rather than a loan.
Ozoh is thought to be keen on a return to Derby where he became a fans' favourite after two season-long loans and was an integral figure as the club finished eighth in the Championship last season.
Speaking after the 1-0 defeat to Burton Albion in the Bass Charity Vase yesterday, Eustace is hopeful the move happens and said: "I would like to bring all the players back who we worked with last year.
"I spoke about that last season because we want to keep the group together and build on it.
"David is certainly a player I like a lot. The fans like him as well and he would be a great addition for us."
Ozoh is not the only player that Eustace wants to see make a return with a move for Ben Brereton Diaz also on the agenda.
The Chile international scored seven goals in the Championship last season for Derby but is currently back at Southampton as he waits for developments.
He has been away with Saints on their tour of Germany, but is unlikely to be a part of the long-term picture after making just 15 appearances for the club in the last two years.
Asked about Brereton Diaz yesterday, Eustace said: "I'd like to bring in top players at this level who can help us improve.
"Ben did terrific in the second half of the season last year. We need to bring in as many good players as we can to help us try to get in that top eight.
"It is a difficult time with things happening off the pitch with potential takeovers and what not, I get that. But we are two weeks away from the big kick-off and I want to bring in as many quality players as I can to help the group and the club move forward."
