MINSK, 20 August (BelTA) – Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin held a meeting with President Min Aung Hlaing of Myanmar in Minsk on 20 August, BelTA has learned.

The agenda focuses on current issues of bilateral cooperation. Key topics include industrial cooperation, collaboration in agriculture and food, as well as joint projects in healthcare.

Belarus and Myanmar established diplomatic relations on 22 September 1999. Since then, top-level engagements have intensified, marked by six meetings between the two leaders in 2025 alone. In July 2026, Aleksandr Lukashenko paid a working visit to Naypyidaw. The two countries are now actively executing their 2026–2028 cooperation roadmap.

The Belarus-Myanmar Business Forum is set to take place in Minsk today, 20 August. The event is expected to conclude with the signing of commercial contracts and agreements.
