(SOLVED) Downgraded game launches into a black screen then crashes

Im using gillians downgrader to downgrade my game and for some reason my game boots into a black screen then closes itself, no matter the toggles or the version and im not using any mods. I have done everything there is on the internet, ive even asked chatgpt but nothing works, i even used clonkandre's downgrader but it didnt give me a playgtaiv.exe file. And also on the complete edition no mods want to work, even tho the same ones did work before. I've reinstalled this game 5 times today and im really desperate to play it
And also the last time it didnt crash it just booted into the second part of the legal disclaimer screen at the beginning of the game. Does anyone have a solution?

Hey! I know this is an old post, but I’m desperately hoping you can help me.
I’m having the EXACT same issue you described. I used Gillian’s Downgrader, my GTA IV successfully downgraded to 1.0.7.0, I have PlayGTAIV.exe, no old mods installed, and the game starts with a black screen, I can hear the intro music and even the menu sounds, but then it closes by itself.
I also tried the ClonkAndre downgrader before and went through countless fixes, reinstallations, Visual C++ packages, different patches, and troubleshooting steps, but nothing worked.
I saw that your topic was marked as solved, so I would be incredibly grateful if you could tell me what exactly fixed it for you. I’ve spent days trying to solve this and I’m honestly losing my mind over it 
Even if you barely remember, any detail could help me a lot.
