The winner is a resident of the UrFU Startup Studio

Ural Federal University has once again proved its status as a leading hub for youth innovation in Russia. A project developed by students from UrFU Engineering School of Information Technologies, Telecommunications and Control Systems (IRIT-RtF) took first place, winning the top award at the finals of the All-Russian "Startup as a Diploma" thesis competition.

The IRIT-RtF team, presenting the "Fusion AI" project, emerged as the overall winner, taking home the grand prize of 500,000 rubles. Creators Kirill Belotserkovets and Gleb Mozglyakov pitched an intelligent system to the expert jury that tracks the health and behavior of farm animals using computer vision and neural networks. The project received top marks for its technological innovation, solid business model, and high scalability potential within the agro-industrial sector.

Two additional UrFU student startups also excelled in the finals, securing spots among the top 15 projects nationwide and winning special awards from the competition's partners. These included Elizaveta Veprova’s (INSM) project, "Speech Analytics with Voice Recognition and an AI Mentor for Medical Clinics", and Sergey Pyatygin’s (IFT) project on reagent-free mine water treatment.
