It has already been hailed as a 'fantastic addition' to the food court area

City centre shopping centre Manchester Arndale is preparing for its latest opening. The centre's popular food court is set for a new arrival in just a few weeks time.

Independent street food spot, Lucky Gyros, is set to open its doors at the Food Court in August 2026, serving up a menu of vibrant Greek street food.

The brand, which was born in Manchester and is known for serving up its signature street food at festivals including Parklife and Sounds of the City. It's opening at The Arndale marks its first brick-and-mortar site.

“We’re so excited to be opening our very first Lucky Gyros site at Manchester Arndale Food Court,” said founder Michael Jebelli.

"We’re really proud to be flying the flag for independents, delivering quality, tasty food at a comfortable price point. This is just the beginning for Lucky Gyros, and we can’t wait to see the brand continue to grow."

The menu will feature their signature gyros with soft corn pitta filled with a choice of marinated meats, or veggie and vegan alternatives, and paired with lettuce, tomato, red onion, and tzatziki, and topped with beloved fries.

Beyond their namesake, Lucky Gyros will also be serving up loaded gyros-inspired platters, salad boxes, and rice bowls. Sides meanwhile, will range from classic seasoned skin-on fries, to Greek Fries topped with tzatziki, feta and pomegranate seeds, plus a classic Hummus & Pitta combo.

David Allinson, Centre Director at Manchester Arndale, added: “Lucky Gyros is a fantastic addition to Manchester Arndale’s food court.

"With demand for a variety of flavours continues to grow, it is important that our food court offers visitors a mix of cuisines. Lucky Gyros brings something different to our line-up and we are sure it will be a hit with visitors."

Elsewhere at the Arndale, recent openings have included American fast food chain Wingstop - the forth Manchester location for the brand. Known for its 'expert' buffalo wings, its new unit is located in the upper-mall, by the Corporation Street entrance.

The 5,928 sq ft unit has seen the brand take over on a five-year lease. The 147-cover spot is serving up the full Wingstop menu, spanning wings, tenders, burgers and sides with a choice of flavours including Hickory Smoked BBQ, Hawaiian, and the 'fan-favourite' lemon Pepper.
