Officials say the aim is to set common rules across platforms, while responses are under examination before further action is decided.

CPI climbs to 4.4% in June, but experts predict August policy status quo
Voiceover: Turning to inflation, retail inflation rose to 4.4 per cent in June from 3.9 per cent in May, crossing the 4 per cent mark for the first time since January 2025 .The increase was driven by higher food prices and a surge in precious metals. Analysts expect inflation to remain range-bound, with the RBI likely to hold rates in August while staying watchful of monsoon trends and crude prices.
