The weather might be looking ever so slightly dodgy for Saturday, but you can be sure that, even if they need to descend clutching a brolly, there will be plenty of well dressed people out in force for Ladies Day at Newcastle Racecourse. And, if you're going this weekend, you might want to consider sticking around before heading into town, as there will be a guest performance by some 90s dance icons.
We had Plate Day at the end of June, with ChronicleLive up at the Racecourse to photograph some very dapper gents, the best dressed couples, the stunning Plate Day hats we spotted and the best dressed ladies. But, as good as the fashion always is at Plate Day, it was just a curtain raiser for what will come on Ladies Day.
A dress code for this year has been confirmed, as well as a bumper list of prizes for the Best Dressed competition aka the Style Awards. Doors to the Racecourse will open at 11am, with the first race at 1.35pm and last one at 5.10pm. And after that, there will be some post-racing entertainment to enjoy from Bongo's Bingo.

If you've never had a night at Bongo's or done rather one of their infamous daytime sessions, expect to have an absolute ball. And if their world renowned mix of bingo and raving isn't enough, they will be joined on stage by N-Trance, the hitmakers behind one of THE best dance anthems of all time - Set You Free - and other singles like Stayin' Alive and Forever.
There are various tickets still available for Saturday, with the cheapest being the Grandstand saver - on sale for £46 until midnight on Wednesday and the most expensive being access to the exclusive Say When tent for £150 per person, which will include canapes served throughout the day, a welcome drink on arrival, prime Horsewalk view, access to the Premier Enclosure and access to a private bar and betting facilities.
