Newcastle Pride is back this weekend with loads going on all over the city centre for the annual celebration

The centre of Newcastle will be full of colour and celebrations this weekend as Newcastle Pride returns for another year. And there is loads going on right around town, with a number of different venues and locations to check out, including the Pride Arena in Times Square.

Come rain or shine, Newcastle Pride is an occasion that can always be relied on to bring sequins, strength and solidarity to Newcastle city centre, as members of the LGBTQIA+ community and their friends and allies make their presence and voices heard, most significantly by taking part in the annual Pride march, which this year will have a different route and feature a powerful speech from Olympic legend Dame Kelly Holmes at Grey's Monument.

Kelly will arrive in Newcastle on Friday to start the Pride 5k run, with the march then heralding the start of Saturday's celebrations, as it leaves the Civic Centre at 12pm. Across the course of the weekend there will be much to see and do for people of all ages, as venues like the Theatre Royal once again get on board.

Big crowds are expected at the Pride Arena on both Saturday and Sunday, as acts like Nadine Coyle, Katy B, Danny Beard, Queenz and a host of local drag icons and tributes appear. If you're planning on going to Pride, here are the key details you need to know on tickets for the weekend and stage times:

Newcastle Pride 2026 tickets

The only part of Pride that you will need tickets for this year is the Pride Arena. The Family & Youth Zone at the Theatre Royal (only open Sunday) Saturday's Trans+ Zone at Northern Stage and the Tyger Stage and market village at Monument are all free, as is the Pride March.

Full weekend tickets for the Pride Arena are sill available, priced £30.50 general admission and £44.50 for Platinum VIP. Day passes for Saturday and Sunday are also available online priced £28.50 for Saturday and £12 for Sunday.

12-4pm: Azula, Newcastle Mela, Northern Proud Voices, Drag Idol Newcastle 2026 winner Deena Hearts.

4-7.30pm: Ghetto Fabulous, Dollhaus, Queerdo, Nadine Coyle.

7.30-11pm: Urban Cookie Collective, Bimini, Katy B Danny Beard.

Northern Stage

Trans+ Zone: Performances and activities from 1-5pm

Tyger Comms Stage

12-5pm: Featuring Newcastle Mela, Northern Proud Voices, Azula BAndit, Newcastle College Performing Arts and Excellence Newcastle Ballroom. Hosted by Gloria Love and Carl Harrison.

Sunday

12-4pm: Girls, Theys and Slays, Drag Castle, Camp Fit with Carl, Open Drag

4-7.30pm: Good 4 Olivia (Olivia Rodrigo tribute), Rusty's Show Team, Chappell Roan by JC, Patti Boo Rae

7.30-11pm: Fat Drag Slam, Harry Styles Show, Queenz, Candlelit Vigil
