If you would rather plan a staycation this year than a summer stay abroad, there is a wide array of last-minute deals perfect for those whose kids have just broken up from school. Holiday park operators like Parkdean Resorts are currently providing a variety of budget-friendly staycations to enjoy across July and August.
The operator controls more than 60 parks across the UK, including a variety of accommodation options such as caravans and hot-tub lodges. One such example where holidaymakers can snag a good deal on their staycation with Parkdean Resorts is at Todber Valley Holiday Park.
A caravan stay at the holiday park can be grabbed for as low as £259, making it a more affordable stay for those travelling in groups of up to four. This particular Bronze-rated caravan also includes two bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen for a more comfortable and accommodating stay.

The caravan also includes other cosy features, such as heating and double glazing, making it comfortable all year round, along with an included bathroom with a shower. If you want something a little different at the holiday park, for the same price, you could also get access to a Bronze Premium-rated caravan that provides some extras, including 'premium fixtures and fittings' to add a bit of luxury to the caravan's design.
If you want to spend slightly less, you could also book a stay at Sunnydale Holiday Park, which is offering Bronze Premium-rated caravans for as low as £249. This spacious caravan in particular is built with 'style and comfort' in mind, coming with ready-made beds, a fully equipped kitchen and more.
Set in East Anglia & Lincolnshire, a stay at this caravan provides easy access to a variety of sandy beaches, and the holiday park itself comes with an indoor pool. Those who like to go on excursions throughout the holidays will also be pleased to hear that there are also fishing villages near the holiday park to explore.
If you would prefer a stay somewhere else, Haven is offering stays at its holiday parks for as low as £49 for four nights this summer. Visitors can book a stay at Cala Gran Holiday Park from £49 with its Saver Caravan, which provides a great value choice for those wanting to be near the coast.
If you would prefer something more luxurious, Harrison Holidays is currently offering stays at Ardlui Holiday Park from £1,270.80 for four nights in September. This caravan holiday spot is nestled in Loch Lomond and provides easy access to a quaint marina while allowing visitors to explore the surrounding loch and its natural views.
Back to Parkdeaen Resorts Sunnydale Holiday Park, visitors who have previously stayed there praised it, with one holidaymaker writing: "Excellent five stars! Just had an amazing stay at Sunnydale. Stayed in Caravan 240 I think, was only a little walk to the fishing pond and swimming pool.
"The caravan was spotless, cleaned really well so a special mention to Mary and Billie, sure their names were on the card in the Caravan. Have stayed in lots of Caravans over the years and this one was definitely one of the best not a cup out of place and smelt lovely too so many thanks for all of us."
Another added: "Van was immaculate, staff was so friendly and polite and nothing was too much trouble. Entertainment was brilliant the kids loved it. On site was peaceful just what you need for a relaxing break. A hidden little gem of a park. Got everything you need and more for that little break away."
While a third said: "Food in the bar was really nice, staff all very friendly couldn’t fault the accommodation at all was spotless!" A fourth added: "We were delighted with the caravan very roomy, clean, ideally located with in easy walk to entertainments and beach.
"Beds were clean with fresh white linen and comfy mattresses and pillows. The kitchen area is well-equipped for our weekend stay. Will definitely rebook and next time take swimming gear, which we forgot this time. The pool area and patio looked great."
While a fifth said: "We had a lovely stay at Sunnydale Caravan Park! It’s a lovely little park in a great location, close to a local village and only a short drive from Mablethorpe, so it’s perfect if you want a quieter base while still being near the seaside. The facilities were excellent, and our accommodation was spacious, spotless, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
"The staff really made the experience—they were all friendly, welcoming, and incredibly attentive throughout our visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sunnydale Caravan Park to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday. We’d definitely return!"
However, one less pleased customer wrote: "You definitely need your car at this location. Locally there's not much going on. Planned coastal walks was scuppered all week by the army doing there military live shell exercises. The beach was off limits.
"The caravan was OK but prefer a Chalet. The site was OK and pretty busy at the weekend. During the week though it was very quiet. You can get good deals at this site off season which helps choosing this location over the others."
Another customer pointed out: "Lovely few nights at Sunnydale. It's a fairly small site but we prefer it that way. Great little pool/soft play and the entertainment team were fab. Caravan was clean and comfortable and kids all had the best time. Thank you!"
