Originally i was going to search to try to confirm this glitch had no fix. Everytime id look it up (reddit, here i think, not sure if rockstar is a different forum) its just the same answer. People either misunderstanding or giving the patchwork 1 time fix. However something new happened today that made me wonder if maybe the account doesnt know When it is and thats what is causing it. Im giving multiple details to help narrow down what could have happened
So i think we started gta online on our xbox one maybe in october, late november we got an xbox one/s and he logged into his account in the xone version of the game so we could play together.
We played alot in december and since, i think in december occassionally while doing missions on his game id encounter the glitch where its either orange or green and hazey and raining. Sometimes during the day(in game) and sometimes night, i assumed it was a combination of the lights, sunset and rain and fog. For the last several weeks (im pretty sure this didnt happen so frequently 2 months ago) loading in (sometimes turning on the game, sometimes coming back after an instances mission) and the game will be like that. As an older person with glasses who isnt much if a gamer this makes the game near unplayable, my roommate being unable to see at all especially during night (and ive noticed when playing together when he is driving the car is affected by the rain but when i drive it isnt).
And thats the key thing. We are both playing xbox one version at the same time and i think its only happened to him.
I know about the dumb garage fix which isnt a help because it basically happens every game session, if not at the start then after an instances mission. So the answer "this game breaking bug that means u are going to have to tell hin to spend 5 mins fixing it everytime it happens" isnt a useful answer when like...the game just shouldnt do that
About 2 weeks ago he accidentally logged into the xboxoneS version of the game and after 20 minutes of thinking he deleted his account i figured out what happened, checked his profile was still there in the one version and deleted the ones version of the game.
The unique thing that happened today that makes me wonder if like...the game doesnt know what day it is and is thus randomly doing holiday weather is while waiting around the grooch appeared and stole all his money. Im set up in the other room, but saw the notification after it happened.
So my only guesses is its the time thing i mentioned, the xboxones version of thexboxone version of the game is screwey or somehow cloning the profile and in eutero ending the clones profile caused something.
I once saw someone reference a graphics change but im guessing that was for PC. Its not xmas, its not halloween ,its not 420. Any answers that arent "just accept the game is broken and no one will fix it" are appreciated
