Uploading Saved game progess in Story Mode

Is it possible to upload my storymode progress on ps5 to ps4
using 2 ext hard drives or will that only work going ps4 to ps5
Cause ps4 has long loading screens and ps5 i can see where
my enemies are before they kill me and have to start missions
over. idk if its my settings on ps4 or what but i get wacked easy
when i cant see where the npcs are shooting and killing me from
