The target capital to support Chinese students functions at the university [photo report]

On June 22, Rector Ilya Obabkov met with representatives of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). During the meeting, he announced the opening of the "China" endowment fund, which will support initiatives and projects of university students from China.

"We are grateful to the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Ekaterinburg for supporting the creation of endowment funds for our Chinese students. The fellowship of Chinese students is one of the largest at the university, and I am sure that our concern for the students will help them return to cooperation with the university as successful graduates," said Ilya Obabkov.

Van Lei, secretary of the Communist Party Committee of the Institute of Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia, CASS, emphasized the importance of working with young people.

The communication with the university's management was preceded by a meeting of students with Jiang Jing, a graduate of UPI (now UrFU) and a leading researcher at the Department of Russian Economics Research, CASS, as well as a discussion of the work of the Chinese Alumni Association of UPI, USU and UrFU, which she heads.

"I am proud to be a UrFU graduate, and I am sure that thanks to the roadmap outlined and approved today, our cooperation will strengthen," said Jiang Jiang.

The program of the visit of the CAON delegation also includes meetings with the UrFU Ural Institute of Humanities and Graduate School of Economics and Management, which are key to the organization's cooperation.
