SAIDS is seeking a professional with an academic background in sports science or sports management to fill the role of its senior anti-doping education coordinator.

The person will work in collaboration with colleagues in the Education unit on the implementation of the annual education plan. The education plan encompasses, but is not limited to, the development of anti-doping content for education and learning materials, developing a social media calendar and associated content, administering the research portfolio, liaising with national sport federations and other stakeholders on the delivery of services and sharing general administrative duties of the unit. In addition, the person will be responsible for innovating and administering the SAIDS “I Play Fair” campaign.

Bachelor’s degree in sports science/management; 5 years’ relevant professional experience in sport/coaching/sport administration.

Ability to work independently and multi-task is an essential requirement. Knowledge of anti-doping and the global/national sport environment would be beneficial. All SAIDS employees are bound by the ethics requirements of the World Anti-Doping Code in addition to the South African statutory employee obligations.

Remuneration for this position is: R380 000 – R440 000 per annum (Salary + Medical Aid benefit, Retirement Annuity Allowance and Work from Home allowance).
