The Batavia Muckdogs fell to the Buffalo Diesel 9-1 in a seven-inning, non-league game.Buffalo took an early lead, scoring three unanswered runs over the first four innings. The Diesel's first run came when Alex Seifert was hit by a pitch. Aiden Mroz later scored on a wild pitch, and Adam Scibetta was driven in on a Marc DiLeo RBI single, putting Buffalo ahead 3-0.Batavia's only run came in the fifth inning on an RBI single by Brayden Redmond that drove in Jalen Roque, cutting the deficit to 3-1.Buffalo answered with six unanswered runs over the rest of the game, scoring on two singles, a two-run throwing error and two dropped third strikes, to close out the 9-1 win.Nolan Evans led Buffalo's offense, going 1-for-3 with two hit-by-pitches, two runs scored and an RBI. Alex Seifert added a hit-by-pitch, an RBI and a run, while Aiden Mroz went 2 for 4 with a double, a stolen base and a run.For Batavia, Jalen Roque went 1-for-3 with a double and a run, and Brayden Redmond went 1-for-2 with an RBI.Billy Quinn earned the win for Buffalo, throwing two innings and allowing one run while striking out three. Logan Thomas took the loss for Batavia, allowing one run on one hit over two innings.
